Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 2026. Plain-language summary of how we handle information on poopingunicorn.com and related game hosts.

This policy covers the main site (poopingunicorn.com) and our game host (game.poopingunicorn.com) when operated by Pooping Unicorn. For acceptable use and disclaimers, see our Terms of use. Contact: contact@poopingunicorn.com.

What we collect

  • Survey responses — choices and optional text you submit on the survey; stored on our servers for product research.
  • Leaderboard & game runs — scores, initials, and related gameplay telemetry you choose to submit; stored on our servers.
  • Newsletter — email address if you subscribe; used to send updates you opt into.
  • Feedback — messages you send via in-game or site feedback flows.
  • Analytics (optional) — if you accept cookies, Google Analytics may collect usage data (pages visited, device/browser type, approximate location). See our Cookie Policy.
  • Technical logs — standard server logs (IP address, user agent, timestamps) for security and operations.

How we use data

To run games and leaderboards, improve the product, respond to you, send newsletter mail you requested, and understand aggregate traffic when analytics is enabled. We do not sell or license your personal data to third parties for their marketing.

No selling, no ads

Pooping Unicorn is free to use and ad-free. We do not distribute your personal data for others to monetize, and we do not run third-party advertising on the site or games. As long as we operate the service, that is the model we intend to keep. Service terms are summarized on our Terms of use page.

Legal bases (EEA/UK visitors)

Where GDPR applies: consent for optional analytics and newsletter; legitimate interests for security, abuse prevention, and operating the service; contract-like necessity to provide gameplay and leaderboard features you use.

Retention

We keep data only as long as needed for the purposes above, unless law requires longer retention. You may ask us to delete newsletter or feedback data by emailing us.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal data, and to object or withdraw consent (e.g. reject analytics cookies or unsubscribe from email). Newsletter subscribers can unsubscribe on the site or use the link in any message we send. Contact us to exercise other rights.

Children

The site is not directed at children under 13. If you believe we collected a child's data, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes

We may update this policy; the date at the top will change when we do.
